Two Buncombe County Deputies Fired for excessive force.

ASHEVILLE –  The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office has terminated a second employee after an incident involving force was captured on body camera.

Sean Kent, who was hired on Oct. 22, 2007, was terminated Friday. Kent started with the department on Oct. 22, 2007, on a salary of $36,764.42. He was promoted to patrol deputy on Oct. 17 and was making $43,268.

On Tuesday, the Sheriff’s Office terminated the employment of sheriff’s deputy Tim Teves.

An internal affairs investigation was launched after a complaint was made to the Sheriff’s Office about a call the officers responded to on New Year’s Eve.

Sheriff Van Duncan said the two were responding to a call involving child custody at a residence.
